Hygiene and cross-contamination
At WORTH Dog Bakery, we take hygiene and cross-contamination seriously.
Each product is made separately and equipment is thoroughly washed between batches. We use dedicated measuring utensils for our biscuit products, including a separate utensil for the biscuit containing nuts.
Work surfaces are carefully cleaned between batches to maintain high standards of care and product quality.
Personal hygiene
We wash our hands before beginning production and wash them again whenever required during the process.
Aprons are worn while making products and hair is tied back to maintain a clean and professional working environment.
A dedicated production space
A stair gate is used across the kitchen entrance to ensure dogs cannot enter while products are being made.
This helps us maintain a dedicated, controlled production space and high standards of cleanliness.
Traceability and batch records
Accurate batch records are maintained for every product made.
This provides traceable information should an issue arise and supports transparency, investigation and quality control.
Testing, insurance and registration
All handmade products currently offered for sale have been analytically tested, with relevant results displayed on the packaging.
WORTH Dog Bakery is fully insured to sell its products and is registered with Trading Standards under registration number GB867-0455.
The business is also registered with APHA, the Animal and Plant Health Agency, because green-lipped mussel powder is used in one of its products.
